Qualcomm QCN9274 Wi-Fi 7 5–6GHz M.2 Modules: 4×4 or Dual 2×2?

Wi-Fi 7 4×4 or Dual 2×2? Choose the Right Radio Architecture.

Not every Wi-Fi 7 application needs the same wireless architecture.

For wireless backhaul, industrial networking, robotics, CPE and high-performance wireless systems, the key question is not only how fast the module can go — but how the wireless resources are designed and used.

WallysTech offers two Qualcomm QCN9274-based Wi-Fi 7 M.2 platforms, both supporting the 5150–7125 MHz frequency range:

🔹 DR9274-5-7G — 4×4 Single Radio

🔹 DR9274-D5-7G — Dual 2×2 Radio with DBDC

Two architectures. Different application needs.

DR9274-5-7G | 4×4 Single Radio

Designed for applications where high throughput from a single wireless link is the priority.

With a 4×4 MIMO architecture and up to 11.53 Gbps PHY rate, DR9274-5-7G provides a high-capacity Wi-Fi 7 platform for demanding wireless connectivity.

Ideal for:

• Wireless Backhaul • Point-to-Point Wireless • High-throughput CPE • Industrial Wireless • High-speed Video & Data Transmission

With support for channel bandwidths up to 320 MHz, it is well suited for high-performance single-link applications.

DR9274-D5-7G | Dual 2×2 Radio + DBDC

Some applications need more than a single high-speed link.

DR9274-D5-7G adopts a Dual 2×2 Radio architecture with DBDC, enabling two concurrent wireless connections according to the system design.

For example:

Radio 1 → Wireless Backhaul Radio 2 → Access / Client

or

Radio 1 → Network A Radio 2 → Network B

This makes the platform suitable for systems that need multi-radio connectivity and more flexible wireless network architectures.

Ideal for:

• Industrial Wireless • Wireless Backhaul + Access • Robotics / AGV / AMR • Outdoor CPE • Multi-radio Systems • Wireless Video & Industrial Data Transmission

Two Architectures. One Qualcomm Wi-Fi 7 Platform.

Which one fits your product?

Need maximum throughput from one wireless link?DR9274-5-7G

Need two concurrent wireless connections?DR9274-D5-7G

The right choice depends on your network architecture and application requirements, not simply the maximum PHY rate.
